About Me
Welcome to my page, let me introduce myself. My name is Kim Cote, I sing and play guitar for many small events and venues. I’ve been singing and playing guitar for most of my life.

My interest in music started early in my life picking up my first guitar when I was four. Growing up I would listen to my parents blue grass and gospel records. When I wasn’t listening to their records, I was listening to classic country, rock, and gospel on the radio. This led to me to start singing gospel, old-time country and blue grass songs with my dad.

Singing with my dad was a great memory of mine, but it was my mom who taught me to understand the message of a song and how it can connect with people. One of the things I love the most about performing is watching reactions to the songs that I sing. Perhaps a song brings back a fond memory, past love, or just makes you feel good!

Another tidbit to share about myself is that sometimes I like to “get my yodel on” while I perform. As a child I was afraid of doing that thing that made me different so I would often practice singing and yodeling in the barn to the animals to “getting my yodel on”. I realized that the animals never complained about my yodeling so eventually I built up enough courage and started to perform in front of people. That is when I realized how my music made people happy and would often bring back memories for people. If you want to hear my music, head over to the songs tab to check out some of my recent recordings.
